Two Companies – One Brand: Explorer Gets a New Logo with the Sun from schauinsland-reisen

October 23, 2024

The long-haul and modular travel operator Explorer, which has been majority-owned by the schauinsland-reisen group since this year, is unveiling a new brand identity. The schauinsland-reisen logo – the sun formed by two hands – will now be part of Explorer’s new corporate design. This makes the integration of the modular travel specialist into the schauinsland-reisen group and the close connection between the two companies visible to partners and customers alike.

Over the past few months, schauinsland-reisen and Explorer have already combined many of their expertise areas, for instance, in sales. Currently, more than 4,000 schauinsland-reisen sales partners have signed contracts with Explorer. Starting from the next fiscal year, revenue generated through Explorer will also be included in schauinsland-reisen’s commission scheme. This close cooperation benefits travel agencies, which will enjoy even better earning opportunities, and customers, who will have access to an even broader selection of vacation options. The new unified logo also reflects the strong focus on service for both partners and customers, a characteristic that defines both schauinsland-reisen and Explorer.

"The rebranding in schauinsland-reisen’s design is an important next step for us," emphasizes Explorer’s Managing Director Heike Niederberghaus. "The strong recognition and outstanding reputation of the schauinsland-reisen brand will greatly enhance our visibility among sales partners and customers." schauinsland-reisen’s Head of Sales Detlef Schroer adds: "The new logo demonstrates that Explorer, along with its dedicated team, diverse product offerings, and strong commitment to quality, is an integral part of the schauinsland-reisen group."

The new Explorer logo was unveiled publicly for the first time last week at the launch of the schauinsland-reisen Roadshow in Duisburg. The new design will now be gradually integrated across all areas of Explorer’s operations, including online platforms and travel agencies. Approximately six months ago, the schauinsland-reisen logo was also incorporated into the corporate design of SUNDAIR, an airline that has been majority-owned by the schauinsland-reisen group since 2023.
